The 12th Edition of the Ugu International Film Festival (UGUIFF) promises an epic

lineup of activities, including film screenings, workshops, discussions, and a

dedicated film and business market. This event is set to captivate the South Coast

Zindela Pictures Group, in partnership with key economic drivers such as Ray

Nkonyeni Municipality, South Coast Tourism and Investment Enterprise (SCTIE), and

the South Coast Chamber of Commerce, aims to revitalize the local economy by

encouraging community support for local businesses. The introduction of the FILM

AND BUSINESS MARKET offers a unique opportunity for local businesses to

10th Ugu Film Festival Call for Entry Submission The organizers of the annual Ugu Film Festival are pleased to announce the call for submission of entry for the 10th edition of the Ugu Film Festival​. Submissions are open from today the 15th of February 2022 and will close on the 29th of May 2022. Ugu Film Festival is an annual event that aims to empower filmmakers from underprivileged areas and equip them with the skill and knowledge from all over the world. “Last year we had a successful hybrid festival which was supported by the NFVF, Zindela Pictures, Ugu South Coast Tourism, Saigon Cowboy Pictures, GS Bookings, Aroma Pictures and various facilitators who imparted their skills and shared what their respective organisations can offer to filmmakers. Organisations including Saigon Cowboy Pictures, Aroma Pictures, GS Bookings opened their doors to assist in ensuring that film activity in the Ugu region continues to thrive,” says Mr. Senzo Zindela, Ugu Film Festival Founder and Director. This year, the festival will have various countries represented by industry experts who will share expertise and different aspects of filmmaking and funding. “It is our pleasure to invite films from emerging, aspiring and experienced filmmakers from all over the world as we would be honoured to have diverse films as part of the 10th edition of our festival. We see this edition as the breakthrough opportunity to introduce films to our audience, various distributors and financiers worldwide, furthermore it will be a chance to network and create co-productions,” adds Mr. Zindela. Due to the 4th Industrial Revolution and new normal brought to our attention by COVID 19 pandemic, UGUFF 2022 is accepting digital submissions. Films can be sent through to the festival through all forms of media digital platforms such as Vimeo, YouTube etc. All submissions must be emailed to ​admin@uguff.co.za ​before the 29th of May 2021. UGUFF has migrated to a fully-fledged digital environment by creating a secured, private and confidential digital meeting platform in which all workshops, screenings and discussions will be held. Our digital platform, uguffmeet.ml​, has been designed to conveniently deliver the highest experience for all attendants and filmmakers.
